Dear Paul,
I love your book, which I have read twice. It is different,
like yourself and your wonderland residence. It succeeds in disturbing
our placid existence, like I suspect you set out to do. You quote some
heavy hitters, but the book is really you, the real Paul.. Thank you
for your life.
Paddy Ward, Kilcloony, Ireland

I loved your book. It takes me back to 'The Green gate'. And whenever the world seems to be a crazy place, I go back to 'The eye of the ventriloquist' to regain my sanity! 'The Green gate' is an oasis of peace, heaven and 'reality' in our 'crazy' world, and your book has the same effect. Thank God for Paul Chatenoud.

I like your book very much. It is a book written by a man who has been through a lot, who experienced all kind of things and it is a book who teaches us how to be more tolerant. And I could feel Ireland, France, Morocco and the whole world in it! I read it on the evenings: It was like a ritual learning on various topics. I enjoy very much reading it. Thank you.

Madam,
I have read again «Le Regard du ventriloque », taking my time and taking notes for my greatest pleasure.
Here is a man who decripts the sidelines of our contemporary world and the grace we can find, with greece and its philosophers for escort, and all that for the inexperience people as well as for the well read, What an elegance !
But here we are, without thinking of it, between the anecdotes and encounters most delicious and crazies, mister ‘Paul’ shoot as well with real bullets and it is dead on ! His opinion of Americans is an hallucination of truth. The wrong doing of the feminists and his passion for the relationship between mens and womens, not to mention the rich psychology of his experience.(…) As for his anecdotes, they are matters of reflexion about a ‘certain art de vivre’ ; or at least to live your own life in front of the dangers and surprises from everywhere.(…) There is in this man, a side of an old chinese wiseman, who after many difficulties, give us with humour a true message of love and friendship and a desire to LIVE.
Please thank him for all the nice metaphysics running along these pages and for this ode to life without concessions.
Boris Santeff - Paris

Christel Bruneau (Paris)
(...)I read your book for the third time ! It is now my bedside book.
Elodie Lobereau, Bordeaux (France)
(...)Difficult to talk in a few lines about all the emotions provoked by your book(...) Among the numerous sentences that I would like to impregnate myself, one touch me very much : ‘the path of life is not under control but must be accepted’.
Then last but not least what an homage to my country,Ireland. We feel that you have it in your gut, that you love its culture, its traditions, the straight generosity without interest of the Irish people.
« Gura mile math agath » (Mille mercis à vous). I hope my compatriots will be as sensitive to it as I was !
Deidre O’Flanaghan, a true Irish cailin in France (Paris)
